Solving System of Two Equations
"A System of Equations is a set of two or more equations with the same variable. To solve a System of Two Equations, find the coordinate point that satisfies both Equations"(McGraw-Hill).
The Different Methods
Systems of Three Equations
A system of three equations have three equations and three variables. It is represented in three dimensional space.
Real World Problem
Seats closest to the amphitheater stage (Section A) cost $30. Seats in the next section (Section B) cost $25 and the lawn seats are $20. There are twice as many seats in section B as there are in Section A. When all the seats (19,200) are sold the amphitheater makes $456,000. Write and solve a System of Three Equations.
Graphing System of Linear Inequalities
When graphing a system of linear inequalities, follow the same steps you would for graphing a system of linear equations, but shade the correct region as you would when graphing any inequality. The solution is all points where the shaded regions overlap.
Ex. y>2x-4 and y≤-0.5x+3
