Students participating in Region Week begin rehearsals on Monday evening! Please see details regarding each rehearsal day below:
Monday, November 7th
Students meet at TMHS by 3:30PM to load the bus to College Park High School. We will stop somewhere for dinner along the way, so bring some money! There will also be concession items for sale for CASH ONLY. Rehearsal ends at 8:00 and we will bus back to TMHS. Dress comfortably and in school dress code. Make sure you bring all of your music, a pencil, a water bottle, and a jacket in case it is cold!
Friday, November 11th
Students will come to the choir room immediately after school to load the bus to Lake Creek High School. We will stop somewhere for dinner along the way, so bring some money! There will also be concession items for sale. Rehearsal ends at 8:30 and we will bus back to TMHS. Dress in your choir t-shirt and in school dress code. Make sure you bring all of your music, a pencil, a water bottle, and a jacket in case it is cold!
Saturday, November 12th
Students meet at TMHS by 7:30AM to load the bus to Lake Creek High School. We will not stop for breakfast, and lunch is provided. There will also be concession items for sale. Dress comfortably and in school dress code. Make sure you bring all of your music, a pencil, a water bottle, and a jacket in case it is cold!
**Students must also bring on this day their formal concert attire. Ladies black dresses with black shoes, and men bring your full tux. We will have your bow ties and cummerbunds in bags to give you Saturday morning.
** There will NOT be a bus back to TMHS on Saturday. Students are expected to be picked up at the conclusion of their concert.
All Region Concerts are professionally recorded. The video order form is below. There will also be items available for purchase on Saturday such as plaques, t-shirts, and other Region Choir merchandise.
Kemah Days Contest - Major Chords and Bel Canto
These 2 groups will be competing at the Kemah Days Festival on Wednesday, November 9th. Students may purchase an all day ride pass on the choir website, and the link is also below. Students are not required to purchase a ride pass, but if they wish to ride any rides, this is the best deal.
Students will need to bring money for lunch or may bring their own lunch if they wish. There are many restaurants in the park, as well as different stands with snacks.
Bel Canto students will need to bring their Renaissance dresses to school to compete in, and Chamber will need their jeans (with no holes) and choir polos.
All students will wear their choir shirt and be in dress code while not performing at Kemah.
Students must be eligible to compete.
All eligible students will be on a field trip leaver for the day. Students are to report to the choir room at 7:20. We will do a quick warm up and then load the bus!
Bel Canto will perform at 10:15
Major Chords will perform at 10:45
We should return to TMHS by 5:00pm
While there is no more space on the bus, parents are welcome to meet us at Kemah Boardwalk for the performances.
We are currently doing a fundraiser for the TMHS Choir! Students should have recorded a video of a special talent, or uploaded their class video to WiddyUP and should be sharing their donation link. Anyone who receives the link can see the student's pitch video explaining the fundraiser, and then with just a $5 donation, donors gain access to the students talent video!

Pop show auditions are coming up soon! Sign ups are posted in the choir room on the board at the front of the room. Auditions will be on Tuesday, November 15th and Wednesday, November 16th after school.
Our theme this year is "That's Entertainment". Songs should be from movies and tv shows, but not be Disney or from any Broadway show. All songs must be cut AT the audition to 2 minutes and 30 seconds. All songs and any choreography must be memorized at the audition. Be performance ready!
All group members must be present at the audition, and must be eligible in order to audition and perform in February.
Thanksgiving Feast is coming up on Thursday, November 17th at 6pm in the TMHS Cafeteria! Please RSVP and sign up to bring an item below!
We are thankful for our amazing choir families, and we are looking forward to gathering for an evening of fun and food! Please indicate how many family members are coming (including choir students), and sign up to bring a dish for sharing. Ham, paper goods, salt & pepper, butter and sodas are covered. We have purchased one turkey that just needs to be cooked, and we would appreciate two more turkies (pre-cooked turkey is also available at grocery stores, but it will need to be heated). Please RSVP no later than Monday, November 14.

Winter Concert - DATE CHANGE!!
We are already looking forward to our Winter Concert coming up in December, but there is a slight change of plans. Our concert will now be December 12th at 7:15pm. This change is due to the combined orchestra needs for this concert. The change has been made on our calendar page and will be communicated to students.
We had a blast seeing La Traviata last Wednesday at the Houston Grand Opera! What an awesome opportunity to dress up and go downtown to see a fabulous performance! Check out some photos below!

For HGO performances, students under 25 can "pay their age". Pay Your Age tickets are now available for people under 25 for each main-stage performance. These tickets can be purchased over the phone (713-228-6737) and picked up at Will Call. Pay Your Age top ticket price is $24.

Please make sure you have completed all required forms for your student for this school year. These forms are very important for all students to be able to travel with us throughout the school year!
