LIBRARY RENOVATION UPDATE: The great Library reno at BSES continues with the addition of modular shelving and wall art. The shelving can be reconfigured in countless ways to provide whatever space is needed for learning activities. Next up are the new tables and chairs coming soon to this library near you!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the HSA's efforts to make this happen - it really makes all the difference! And don't forget that this year's HSA fundraising will help us provide the same standard of upgrade to the Library Classroom. We're excited - LET'S GO!

Reading Olympics
Bethel Spring Elementary School
Reading Olympics Club 2019-2020
Dear Students & Parents,
Do you love to read and discuss books? Are you in 4th or 5th grade? Well, we have a club for you! Bethel Springs will compete in the Delaware County Reading Olympics.
The Reading Olympics is a countywide competition where students have the opportunity to display their knowledge of popular books. The competition is fast-paced, exciting and challenging. It requires you to work collaboratively with your team so that the group has an in-depth knowledge of all the books on the list. Each student will become an expert in certain books and their teammates will rely on this knowledge during the competition. The competition is a celebration of reading and all participants are awarded ribbons.
The Delaware County Reading Olympics competition will take place in early spring of 2020. At our first meeting, we will provide each student with a pouch, folder, a book list, and any other materials that they may need. After reading a book, each student will complete a post on SeeSaw. These various posts will prove to be very valuable in helping the students to remember the plots of the books they have read.
This club is a year-long commitment and will meet on Thursdays from 3-4 pm. Our parent meeting will be the first day of club on 10/3/18 at 3:45 in the BSES Library following our regular meeting. If your child is interested in joining the BSES Reading Olympics Club, please complete the club form attached to this letter. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Neuber or Mrs. Clark.
We will meet every Thursday EXCEPT: 11/28, 12/26, 3/12 and 4/9.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lauren Neuber
