Snow Problem!
In the event of inclement weather, SCSD2 may need to call a 2-hour delay or call school off altogether for the safety of our students. If a 2-hour delay is called, Vienna-Finley will be open at 7:30 AM for students that must be dropped off early. Please also be patient with bus drivers as routes may be delayed due to snow and ice.
If school is cancelled, all school activities, events and practices will also be cancelled to ensure the safety of all of our students.
SchoolMessenger calls will be sent out in the event that there is a change in schedule. That call could be made at night or early in the morning, so please check your phones often when weather is bad.
Please keep your contact numbers updated in the school office and listen to I105.3 for school closings as well.
Elementary Night at SHS Basketball Game!
Come cheer on Vienna-Finely!

New Security Measure for Car Riders
IMPORTANT: New Car Rider Hang Tags
In an effort to make our school as safe as possible, we would like every student to have a pick up tag hang from the rear view mirror or the passenger visor of the vehicle to easily identify authorized vehicles that can pick up children at school. The parent pickup tags help keep school dismissal safe and organized and will help speed up the process of getting children loaded and unloaded. We will pass three tags out to each family to be distributed to anyone who is permitted to pick up your child. This will not change anything else in our process. Please still contact the office to inform us of pick up changes. This is simply to ensure that all school personnel are aware that the correct person is picking up your child. In the event that a child is picked up and the car does not have a tag, we will call the office to confirm that student is permitted to go home with that person.
To help us with this process, please do the following steps tonight, if you haven't already.
1) Attach a small backpack hang tag (Included) to each child’s backpack
(We realize these may fall off or be torn off fairly soon, but will help the staff and students learn the process)
2) Hang a large hang tag in each vehicle that you use to pick up students.
3) Please give others who are on the emergency pick up list a hang tag when they are coming to pick up your child.
4) If you lose your tags or need replacements, please contact the school office.
Thank you for your support!
