Notes from the Nurse

  • Students are not allowed to bring cough drops, gum or peppermint candies to school.

  • A Physician order is needed for all over the counter types of medications to be administered during school hours. The Medication Administration form can be obtained on the district website. Physicians must complete and sign the top portion and parents need to sign the bottom portion before any medications are given.

  • Do not send any medications to school with the children in their backpacks. Please drop off the medication along with the completed form to the Nurse.

If your child has been injured and/or cannot participate in PE/Recess, please call the Health Office to inform the Nurse of the situation. A physician note with all restrictions is required for the child’s safety. We will do our best to meet our students' needs, but need to have the information to do so. A physician release will need to be obtained before the child can return without restrictions. Regardless, we will always encourage students to go outside with their class for “fresh air”.
