LHS Band Solos and Small Ensembles Qualify for State
Six solos and five ensembles received ratings of Excellent including: Will Miller, Sophomore Clarinet; Nevaeh Becker, Freshman Alto Saxophone; Tiffany Cereceres, Freshman Horn; Carlos Reyes, Senior Trombone; JT Denton, Sophomore Euphonium; Mallorie Blank, Senior Cello; Flute Choir; Clarinet Choir; Saxophone Choir; Brass Quintet #1; and Brass Quintet #2.
Nine solos and three ensembles received ratings of Outstanding and qualified to compete at the State Festival including: Kyrsten Young, Sophomore Flute; Mia Bryant, Junior Clarinet; Cherish Galliart, Sophomore Alto Saxophone; Merlin Behnke, Senior Alto Saxophone; Jarrett Smith, Senior Tenor Saxophone; Marianna Boese, Sophomore Horn; Gilberto Silva-Paez, Freshman Trombone
Zane Moore, Sophomore Trombone; Grant Buckley, Sophomore Marimba; Saxophone Quartet;
Brass Ensemble; and Percussion Ensemble.

LHS Students Present at Rotary
The International student exchange trip between a school in Spain and Lyons High School was a huge success according to LHS students who discussed their experience with the Lyons Rotary Club this week.
