The Blood Drive was a huge success!! Thank you to all of our donors!!

- Get ready for an epic competition during the week of January 30 - February 3.
- There will be competitions for spirit dress, blood drive participation, War Games pep rally games, and dodgeball. T-shirts sales will began January 17 for $10.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 31 is the COIN STALL
- Save your change and bring it to 3rd hour on Tuesday, January 31. Your teacher won't be able to start class until they count ALL of the change brought in by their 3rd hour students. The more money you bring, the longer you stall class!!
- All proceeds collected that day will be donated to the Wayne Westland Family Resource Center.
- This is a competition between Wayne and Glenn. The school who raises the most cash at the coin stall will win points for this event.
WMHS Staff Dodgeball Game
The WMHS Zebra staff will take on the JGHS Rockets on Friday, February 3 at 4pm in the Old Gym. This event is great fun! Check out the hype video below for this fabulous event!!
Unified Basketball
The United Sports program is a co-ed sports based program that includes programs for all students, with and without disabilities. Wayne Westland has organized a basketball team for the Winter season that continues through the end of February with a KLAA Unified Tournament.
Our goal is to show that no matter the needs, abilities or disabilities of our
students, we can all come together as one Unified team.
We Need Help: We could use additional "student coaches" to get involved. These student coaches would assist the Special Olympians on the court, grabbing a rebound or two, passing the ball, helping to direct players regarding placement etc. The student coaches don't try to score, instead passing to open players. If you are interested, please contact the coaches for our program, Larry Lyman (lymanl@wwcsd.net) and Ra-Mon Watkins (watkinsr@wwcsd.net).
