The Social Security Act was established to provide welfare. The benefits were for aged persons, blind persons,and dependent and crippled children. This act was passed on August 14th, 1935. This act introduced an system of old-age benefits for workers,also this provided benefits for victims of industrial accidents.This act also covers unemployment insurance, aid for dependent mothers and children.
