Points of Pride (Week of Sept. 10)

Alief ISD News and Recognitions

Alief ISD was awarded $22,000 from Shell.

The funding will go towards engineering and science educational needs.

The Olle Middle School STEM Academy was awarded a $20,000 grant from CITGO Fueling Good.

The academy will use the funds to improve STEM facilities and to provide additional STEM experiences. The grant will also help fund materials for project-based learning (PBL), for prototype development and for the design of a campus urban garden.

Chancellor Elementary School received donation of emergency supplies from Walmart (Kirkwood/Westheimer).

Walmart donated enough hammers for every staff member on campus at Chancellor. The hammers will be a part of the school's emergency supplies.

Congratulations to the following Alief ISD staff members, whose DonorsChoose.org projects were funded!
