DD&J Summer Programs Shine Bright in 2025
This summer has been one of our most dynamic and rewarding yet! The DD&J Junior Tennis Foundation proudly delivered a range of enriching programs that kept our courts busy, our youth engaged, and our mission alive and thriving.
Lob the Ball to Financial Literacy, STEM & Tennis Camp
Over four weeks, our "Lob the Ball" Summer Camp combined tennis with real-world learning. Campers, ages 10–16, not only developed their skills on the court but also gained invaluable exposure to financial literacy and STEM principles. Through engaging workshops and guest speakers, they explored careers, leadership, and teamwork—all while staying active and having fun. A big thank you to the professionals who volunteered their time to educate and inspire our campers!
Sunrise Fitness Clinics
Our 6-week Sunrise Fitness Clinics served intermediate players committed to improving their game. Meeting early in the morning, these athletes worked hard to develop stamina, refine strokes, and push their physical and mental limits. Their dedication and early-morning hustle truly stood out!
Red Ball Clinics – A Huge Hit!
The Tuesday evening Red Ball clinics continue to be one of our most in-demand sessions, consistently filling up and carrying a waiting list. These beginner players, primarily ages 6–14, are making great progress learning tennis fundamentals in a fun and structured environment.
Orange Ball Development – Rally Ready!
Our Wednesday Orange Ball group is geared toward players who are developing their ability to rally. These enthusiastic learners are refining their consistency, footwork, and court awareness while enjoying the camaraderie of group play.
Green Dot & Yellow Ball Clinics
Saturday mornings are buzzing with our intermediate players!
• Green Dot Ball (8:30 a.m.) is perfect for juniors progressing beyond the Orange Ball stage.
• Yellow Ball (9:45–11:15 a.m.) includes high school and tournament players building match strategy and sharpening competitive skills.

Ball Runners at Local Tournament
Dear Parents,
We are excited to share a unique opportunity for our DD&J Junior players to participate as Ball Runners for the upcoming ATP 125 Men’s Tournament, taking place August 11–17 at the Columbia Tennis Center.
This is a fantastic chance for your child to:
Get up close to professional players,
Gain first hand exposure to high-level tennis,
And enjoy an incredible learning experience—all while having fun!
There are two daily shifts available:
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Ball runners are needed each day, including Saturday and Sunday. The tournament director, Mr. Brian Hodge, mentioned the idea of some players volunteering as a group for team bonding, especially on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
If your child is interested in participating, please respond and let us know:
Which days they are available
Which time slots work best
This is a wonderful way for our juniors to build confidence, connect with the game, and represent DD&J on a professional stage. Thank you for your continued support!
