National Insurance Number Interviews - Friday 2nd November
The NINo team will be conducting a limited number of National Insurance Number interviews in St Andrews on Friday 2nd November from 10:30-15:00
Interview spaces are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Saltire Scholar Internhsips - Applications now open!
The Saltire Programmes exist to accelerate the development of Scotland's most promising talent by giving them unique opportunities to work with and learn from the world's leading players.
In the summer of 2018, the Saltire Scholars Internship Programme provided 171 fully-funded internships in Scotland and abroad, working with leading global and entrepreneurial organisations.
The Saltire Scholar programme is open to all students in their penultimate year of study at a Scottish university.

Applications will close at 11.59pm on Tuesday 13th November.
Bristish Council IASTE Internships - Applications now open!
Are you a science, engineering, technology or applied arts undergraduate student?
You could do a paid industry placement lasting from six to 52 weeks in one of 80 countries with IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience).
The placement:
- Location: the placements can be in any of the 92 IAESTE countries.
- Length of the placement: anything between 6 to 52 weeks, depending on your availability.
- Payment - we secure the Employer and we make sure that you will be paid at least the minimum wage in the country of your placement. Please make sure you secure the money for travel. Most universities have funds set aside to contribute towards your travel costs. Please make sure you check now whether your university can help.

Thinking of a career in interpreting or translating?
The Institute of Translation and Interpreters, in association with the Open University, is pleased to present the successful 'Starting work as a translator or interpreter' (SWATI) event for the first time as a series of online webinars.
Each session comprises two presentations, plus time for questions and discussion.
Thinking of a career in the music industry?
Join BBC Music for their 3 day music career festival in London from 8th-10th November.
Over 100 inspiring masterclasses and interactive sessions, practical workshops and Q&As will take place, featuring over 250 speakers from all quarters of the music industry. Music industry experts from the recorded, live, broadcast and digital sectors will share their insider knowledge alongside all the key UK music industry bodies, providing invaluable support for emerging home-grown talent as they take the next steps in their careers.

As this is the 10th year we are hoping you may have already come across the awards and know that it is a fantastic way to gain valuable experience and insight into the graduate job application process. Successful undergraduates will be invited to attend an assessment centre where the shortlist will be refined to the top candidates.
The top candidates for each award will then be exclusively invited to a prestigious award ceremony in London to celebrate their achievements on 26th April 2019. Each award is sponsored by an internationally recognised company who are keen to offer unique work opportunities and various prizes to successful candidates.
This year we have 12 categories in a variety of disciplines to include all interests and skillsets:
- Computer Science, IT & Physics Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Construction and Engineering Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Female Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Future CFO Undergraduate of the Year Award
- LGBTQ+ Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Male Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Management Undergraduate of the Year Award
- New Energy Solutions Undergraduate of the Year Award
- One to Watch Undergraduate of the Year Award
- Science Undergraduate of the Year
- Undergraduate of the Year Award for Innovation

High Fliers Reseach Questionnaires and Research Groups
Student Focus, in association with The Times newspaper, is the nationwide student research programme on graduate recruitment:
· Student Focus requires final year students specifically from St Andrews
· Finalists are well paid for completing online questionnaires about their job-hunting experiences
· Finalists can earn approximately £10/hour for each completed questionnaire
Places are strictly limited and taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so register today:
Signing up takes no longer than a minute and registration closes once the required number of students has signed up. Please check your inbox for a validation email upon completion of the signup process.
High Fliers Research is also looking for St Andrews finalists to take part in their well-paid Research Groups looking at how employers promote their graduate opportunities.
