Covalent Compounds
Properties:
- Low melting and boiling points
- Brittle solid forms
- Poor electrical and thermal conductivity
- An example of a nonpolar covalent bond would be 2 hydrogen atoms because they both equally share the electrons
- Another example is 2 chlorine atoms because they also both equally share the electrons
- Diatomic molecules are molecules that are composed of 2 atoms
- The elements are Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Fluorine, Oxygen, Iodine, Chlorine, and Bromine
- The memory device is: BrINClHOF
