Johnson Library Rocks!

Vent. We all need a chance to share what's new, what's difficult, what's working, and what's not! Knowing we have each other for support makes each day much easier. The old expression, "Try to walk a mile in my shoes..." comes to mind!

We shared Destiny upgrades, scheduling issues, Aggie Dream Team logs, and library organization and management strategies.

Don't forget to update your schedules on Google Docs!

Ebooks

Balloons Over Broadway, story of the Macy's Day Parade

Glory Be, a segregation/coming of age novel

The Blue Fairy book, part of a fairy-lore series by Andrew Lang

I Know An Old Teacher, a retelling of "I Know An Old Lady"

Are You My Mother, a classic favorite

We worked through some log-in issues, and discussed how to use eBooks for library lessons. Agreed we all prefer the real book in our hands, but eBooks offer our readers an exciting new format.

Mini-speakers for Mini-Ipads

Each assistant received a new mini-speaker for use with her mini-Ipad. These are to be used in the library, and are not for loan. We're grateful to Denise for seeing/meeting the need for enhanced sound in the library!

Reindeer Cones

We used a Pinterest idea to make reindeer cones, and shared the possibility of using this craft as a way of saying thank you to our "deer" volunteers.
