Welcome Hoover Parents!
At Hoover, we will do our best to offer assistance and resources to you and your children. We want all children enrolled at Hoover to succeed and flourish both academically and socially. Our mission of "Putting Kids First" in our counseling program allows us to serve the students of Hoover's academic, social, and emotional needs. If you have any concerns regarding your child, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with and getting to know you and your children.
Looking forward to an amazing school year! Go Hoover Heroes!

BIENVENIDOS HOOVER HEROES
From the Librarian
Birthday Book Club Coming to Hoover!
The Hoover Library offers every family the opportunity to participate in the Birthday Book Club program. The purpose of the program is to honor your child’s birthday by donating a book to the Hoover Library that will, in turn, become part of the school’s library collection.
Be watching for more information coming home soon in your child’s folder.
Mobile Library Schedule for September 2018
This summer, I was so excited to see many of our Hoover Heroes while working on the Mobile Library Bus! The Mobile Library will be visiting 2 locations near Hoover this month. Hope you can come by and get some great books. If you have Mobile Library books you can return them on either of these days OR have your student return them to Hoover Library and I will make sure they get back.

September 29th

From the Coach
Hoover families, I am excited about the new year with our Hoover Heroes! This year we have a Hoover Fit Families Bulletin Board. If you have photos printed of your family exercising or playing, parents and their kids, I would love to have a copy to put on the bulletin board. It could be a photo at the park, swimming, running, biking, throwing the frisbee, etc. You get the idea. If you have a photo to send in to be displayed, please send it with your child to school with a note on the back or on the envelope “For Hoover Fit Families Bulletin Board.” I can’t wait to see our fit families!

Clothing for the Clinic
Clothes are kept in the clinic for students to borrow if a need arises. As we look forward to next year, the clinic is very low on pants and shorts for both girls and boys. The current need is girls and boys shorts and pants sizes 5 and up. If your children grow out of their clothes over the summer, consider donating them to our clinic at the beginning of next school year. Any donations are very much appreciated!
Thank you for supporting our Hoover Heroes,
Kristin Bates, RN
