The mission of the North East Family Specialist is to build family engagement between parents, the school, and the community by facilitating, communication; assisting students and families who are experiencing barriers; and, empowering parents to fulfill their role as their child’s first teacher.

Mindfulness for Families
Toxic stress is affecting our families and mindfulness can help. Come and learn about the impact of stress and overload as well as the benefits of mindful practices. Children & adults alike benefit from evidence-based techniques such as mindful breathing, exercises to focus attention, as well as the practice of compassion and gratitude. Join us to get tools and tips for your entire family.

The Magical Brian
Join us to learn the roles of different parts of the brain and how they work together to affect behavior. They will also learn about the nervous system and strategies for self-regulation and promoting positive behavior in struggling children. This workshop will benefit family members of any age.
