The Taal Volcano is located in the Philippines. The largest eruption lasted 200 days in 1754!! Taal is located in a very populated place and if the volcano erupts again many people will lose their homes and their lives. When the Taal volcano erupts it spews out ash, toxic gases, can cause earthquakes and tsunamis.

How are they similar and different?
When the Taal Volcano erupted it killed many people (5,000 to 6,000) around the land and city. But when Mount Vesuvius erupted it killed many people, peoples houses, animals, and forest. That is how the Taal Volcano and Mount Vesuvius are similar and different.
