A few words from the leaders...
This week's meeting was all about earning our Tell a Story badge. The girls made puppets and then put on a puppet show. The only direction we gave them for their skits was that they had to include something from the Girl Scout Law in some way. The videos are below. Please watch them and tell me you aren't impressed. (Please note that even though the videos are on youtube, your daughter's privacy is protected. I set the viewing privileges to private. Only those who received this newsletter with the embedded videos can view them and share the links. They will not come up in any search on youtube or the internet.)
Also, we discussed the difference between healthy and unhealthy food and used our snack time to illustrate that point. The girls were quick to point out that the apple slices were healthy and that the oreos were not good for you.
We did give the girls homework because we are trying to complete the Inventor badge in parts at home. It was on "thinking in circles" and it is in their Brownie book. Plus, they are responsible for asking their parents to purchase the items on their first aid kit list before the next meeting so that they can make them to place in their parent's car. Finally, they received a worksheet with a plate on it. They are to complete it and turn it back in at the next meeting.
