Titan Staff News
Week of October 3
Titans,
Thank you for another great week and an outstanding start to the school year! I really enjoyed reading your answers as to how you support reading in your classroom. Our staff has always done a great job supporting reading and it continues this year as well.
During my MS Learning Team Walks yesterday, our campus looked great in many areas. There are lots of things to celebrate and continue in our classrooms. In a spirit of continuous improvement, there are also areas that are challenges for us. I know we will continue the path to success and will diligently provide intentional lesson designs for our students. Specific information will be given to Department Chairs. If you'd like specific feedback for your classroom, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Kim

10 Tips for SBBBs
10. A twin bed sheet fits the board perfectly.
9. Fabric doesn't fade but butcher paper does. Choose wisely.
8. Scrapbook paper adds a pop of color and keeps the board interesting. Don't be afraid of patterns!
7. QR codes are a great way to highlight student videos or your audio/visual feedback.
6. It's ok to mix student responses and products. Showcase the diverse learning that is occurring in your classroom!
5. Double check your rubric. Is it truly a rubric or is it a checklist? #saynotochecklists
4. Color code your components to highlight the relationships between NISD Profile of a Graduate and our campus Instructional Focus.
3. Can students interact with your SBBB?
2. If there's a worksheet on your SBBB, you may want to rethink it.
11. Beg, borrow and steal from your colleagues here at Tidwell! There are some outstanding SBBBS!
