Volunteers Have HEART!
BOOK FAIR ISN'T POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU!
Thanks to all the volunteers who help us bring Book Fair to our students each year!
Just 30 minutes can make a BIG difference for our kids!
Here are some quick ways to lend a much-appreciated hand:
· Setting up the Fair
(approx. 30 minutes on Fri, March 2nd right after school)
· Helping shoppers at the Fair
(Extra hands especially needed w/ K-1s-always morning hours)
· Packing up the Fair
(about 20 minutes on Fri, March 9th right after school)
· Checkout
· Donating Muffins
Why Book Fairs?
In addition, we are able to purchase author/professional storyteller visits, which run anywhere from $500-$1200 an hour or a day, depending on the author's notoriety.
We are also able to purchase many of the online databases students need to stay current with 21st-century skills and digital learning. The annual subscriptions are quite high. Here are the databases purchased with Book Fair funds this year:
TumbleBooks $399
PebbleGo $1045
MoreStarfall $250
BookFlix $697
TrueFlix $504
And we are so fortunate and grateful to have our generous GSE PTA who funds Brain Pop, Brain Pop Jr. and Read n Quiz for our students!
Students have access to most of these databases from home via our Library's Website so please take advantage of your remote access and make the most out of your Book Fair investment! Again, thank you so much for continuing to support our Book Fairs. It allows us to bring resources to our children that would just not be possible otherwise.
Here Comes Valentine Cat
The Candy Smash

CLEANING OUT CLOSETS, TOY BOXES AND BOOKSHELVES?
HATE TO THROW AWAY PERFECTLY GOOD BUT OUTGROWN ITEMS?
We would love to turn your gently used books, stuffed animals, beads, fast food toys, etc. into reading incentives! Donating these items to the RQ Store allows us to use award funds for other classroom resources while still helping motivate and reward our hard-working readers.
