Italy is a small country in Europe that is about 116,400 square miles and in Mediterranean Sea. Italian is the main language of the country, but they have 15 other languages that are spoken as well. It is an extremely popular place to visit by people all over the world. Some of the most famous cities are Rome (the capital), Venice, Florence, Milan. The country is a mixture of modern culture and ancient history.

Venice is located in the North Eastern part of Italy. It is an Island that is made up of canals. The main canal is called the Grand Canal. This city is famous for gondola rides, San Marco's Cathedral, and Venice masks and glass.
