Metamorphosis!

In our class, two weeks ago, we received baby caterpillars. In no time at all, they grew and grew! Before long, they turned into five little chrysalis! This week, after 7-10 in their cozy little homes, we had butterflies emerge from their chrysalis! It was amazing to witness. Our class was able to watch two of the butterflies come out! On Friday, after letting their wings dry for a few days, we let them go into the wild. It was a wonderful learning experience. I hope the children have shared their stories with you!

Rainbow Wall Adds Birds and Pots of Gold!

For the first year ever, I have decided to add categories above our Rainbow Wall. I sent home first and second grade words to the students that passed their pink word. Well, many have been begging to be tested on those words. Therefore, we now have clouds (students who pass their first grade words) and pots of gold (students who pass their second grade words). Please help me congratulate the following students for moving up on the Rainbow Wall this week:

  • Blue: Mario Powell, Jr.
  • Pink: Cory Baugher, Rylee Aguirre, Malyla Hammock
  • Clouds (1st Grade Words): Kaden Rosensteel, Andrew Kincaid
  • Pot of Gold (2nd Grade Words): Kaden Rosensteel, Andrew Kincaid

No Books Came Home Today! Enjoy the beautiful weekend!
