Lancaster Remembrance Day Service
2020

Welcome
Thank you staff and students for joining us at our Remembrance Day ceremony for 2020. Today we honour those who have served Canada, past and present, in times of war, military conflict and peace. This year we acknowledge the significance of it being the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The peaceful society we enjoy has been created by the efforts and sacrifices of generations of Canadians who have put their lives on the line in the cause of peace and freedom around the world. Remembering all that they have done during times of war, military conflict and peace helps us to better understand our nation's history and its future.
It is our privilege to live in the world we do thanks to the sacrifice and bravery of our veterans and those currently serving in countries around the world. Canadian peacekeepers represent Canada and our vision of positive resolutions and working with countries to preserve life that is valued and free.
