CELC News & Updates
Dear CELC Familles,
I hope you all enjoyed the 3-day weekend. I am grateful for the extra time with my family. Thank you to all of our veterans for your service and sacrifice. We appreciate you and your family for your commitment to serving our country.
It is difficult to believe that our school year is a little more than 1/3 of the way complete. Fall break is November 20-24. I hope everyone will have a chance to relax and unwind.
The teachers are looking forward to meeting with each of you this week to discuss your child's progress and hand you their first report card.
Thank you to our amazing PTA for planning the Turkey Trot! We are looking forward to trotting on Friday. We have our fingers crossed for the weather forecasted. We will keep you posted on the status of the event. If it rains, it will likely be rescheduled.
Here are a few updates to help keep you informed:
- REMINDER: Parent/Teacher Conferences are this week. TK and K students will be released at 12:15 p.m. M-F to allow time for teachers to meet with each parent.
- If you have not signed up for a PTA membership yet, it is not too late. Teachers will be sending out forms and will also have them available at Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Students are expected to follow school rules at all times. Please help support safe, responsible, and respectful behavior while you are on campus with them before and after school.
ATTENTION: If your student is going to be absent for an extended period, please make sure to request an Independent Study Contract from the office at least one week in advance. This will ensure that your child's teacher has ample time to prepare assignments, and your student can receive attendance credit during their absence.
For transportation questions, please visit AUSD's website at https://www.alpineschools.net/page/transportation
I hope you have an amazing week!
Sincerely,
Tamara Ripke, Proud Principal

A Message From the PTA
Dear Families,
CELC's Annual Creekside Turkey Trot and the fundraising is booming! Everyone should have received a sponsorship opportunity flyer with the sponsorship options. Please note, this is our one and ONLY fall fundraiser and the donations you make will help with the Spring Fling, assemblies, field trips, & additional resources for our students! If you didn't receive the flyer yet we have included below.
The Turkey Trot is this Friday! It is a fun event for our school where the kids get to participate in fun activity stations. Please note all parents are invited to come watch your student, please reach out to your teacher for what time their specific class will be participating. If you are looking to help with one of the activity stations or would like to help set up, please sign up HERE.
You also can find updates on Turkey Trot and all other happenings at Creekside on the Creekside PTA's Instagram. Go ahead and give us a follow: CreeksideKPTA
