Christians belief about adultery

Since the traditional Christian belief of sex was reproduction, adultery in the Christian religion is seen in different ways. The Christian church bases their views on the bible. Most strict Christians believe that sex is wrong if it is not done within marriage, and that it is wrong to live or have a relationship with someone that you're not married to.

You may think that certain allowances/exceptions (in the Christian religion) are made depending on the given situations (e.g. the couple are not seeing each other anymore even though they are still legally married) but according to the Bible, no exceptions are made, so if the couple are still legally married, having a relationship with someone other than your spouse is considered adultery. This also includes romantic relationships that don't involve sex.
