2nd Grade @ ROE
#AdventureAwaits
Week of : October 9-11
Welcome
We are so excited for all of our new friends that have joined us in 2nd grade! This year is going to be filled with lots of fun adventures and laughter. We invite you to join us on our adventure of positive energy! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Family Focus
This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.
This weeks Family focus: We are focusing on timelines this week. A folded piece of manila paper with labels, (Past, Present, and Future) will be sent home with your student on Wednesday. Please help your student to write a sentence about something from their past (anything before now), present(what they are currently doing in their life) and future-what their hopes are for the future. Write a sentence for each and include a picture if you have one or students can also illustrate. This is due on Friday and will be taken as a test grade. SEE EXAMPLE BELOW
2nd Grade Adventures
In order to promote high attendance, we will be spelling out the word ATTENDANCE. Each day that our class has 100% attendance a letter will be added. When the whole word is spelled out, we will celebrate. We will also have a school wide prize for the grade level with the highest attendance. Please help us reach our goal in 2nd grade!
