The parade will step off from Athens High School down Pryor Street, Shaw Street, Hobbs Street and Jefferson Street. The Parade will loop around the square via Market Street, Marion Street, Washington Street, and back to Jefferson Street. October 10-14 is National School Lunch Week. This year’s theme is “Peace, Love and School Lunch” and we just love our awesome Child Nutrition team who go above and beyond to serve our students and employees nutritious and delicious meals each day. Dyslexia Awareness Month

School Bus Safety Week
National School Bus Safety Week is October 17-21. Our ACS bus drivers complete annual training & work vigilantly to provide the highest standard of care for the students they transport. Our entire transportation team performs vital functions in assuring the safe operation of our school buses. #Thankabusdriver for their dedication to student safety.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Reminder, school lunches are no longer free for all Athens City Schools students. Find out if your family qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunch by completing the 2022-2023 Free and Reduced Lunch Application. Only one application is necessary per family. Families must re-apply each school year to potentially receive this benefit. Visit acs-k12.org/nutrition to apply. Power School Parent Portal (grades 4-12)
PowerSchool Parent Portal (for grades 4-12) is a web-based platform and app that can be used to access information such as student grades, attendance, assignments, class announcements, class schedule, teacher communication, and more. Parent Portal is accessible from any device with internet access (i.e. computer, tablet, smartphone) or download the app for free. My School Bucks
A reminder that meals at ACS are no longer free for all students. Parents are encouraged to pay for meals by the week or the month. An easy way to add lunch money to your student account is through MySchoolBucks. Create or log in to your student account at myschoolbucks.com and view immediate information about your student account balance and purchases. Need help? Click HERE to learn more. Funds can be added to your student's account at MSB on the web or download the MSB app. You may also submit a check to the school lunchroom. All checks must be made payable to Athens City Schools CNP or ACS CNP. Please write your child's name and homeroom on the check or envelope. Click HERE to more about meal prices and budgeting.

Kids and Kin Training Dates
Kids and Kin is a free, statewide program that provides resources and training to grandparents,
aunts, uncles, and older siblings who provide child care for their relatives' children. Kids and Kin offers a wide range of helpful topics in a small and supportive group setting.
