Something to Yelle About
Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
An Awesome Last Week of School!
Newsletter For the Summer
Hello from the Yelle.
What a week at the HAY! The last week to be exact.
I cannot believe it is here. I started writing this Newsletter back on Monday, June 10, and it is not until now that I have been able to get it done. So much was going on.
Like all of June, we had a ton going on again ...
- 5th Grade Dance/Social/Yearbook Signing from Friday, June 7
- 4th Grade Field Trip to Fenway Park
- June Students of the Month Assembly
- 2019 Field Day
- 5th Grade Talent Shows
- 5th Grade Move-Up Day Assembly
What a week indeed. I have tried to capture all these below, but again, much more on Twitter with videos. Please check us out there or look to the Wakelet connection in the gray box below to find all the Tweets of pictures and videos.
I just wanted to thank all of you for the honor of being your child's principal this past year; it has been amazing. This has been the quickest year I have ever had. Now, this is the earliest we are getting out in years, but still, I will say this has been the quickest for me as time did fly as I was having great fun. I have not enjoyed a year like this ever. It has been incredible. I cannot thank you enough for welcoming me in and helping me get to know you, the school, and this level. It has been absolutely wonderful experience.
With that, I wish the 5th Grade students the best as they move on to middle school, my 13 years in middle school tell me that they are most definitely ready to take on their next step in their educational journeys. Please see the 5th Grade Video below.
I wanted to thank all of our 5th Grade Parents, who were on and participated on the HAY PTO. This group of volunteers, led by Mrs. Liz Pietrasiewicz, I would not have had such a wonderful year without their support. The time and commitment they all put in, especially Liz, was incredible. Just know how much I appreciate all you did. Thank you.
As for our soon-to-be 5th Grade students, I am so looking forward to another year with them. They are a tremendous group and to see their growth is going to be spectacular.
Have an awesome summer! Enjoy it. We will be back in touch in August.
If at any time, you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out; I am around all summer.
Thanks,
Marty

Thinking About 2019-2020
We are starting to think about scheduling for next school year.
Please let Mr. Geoghegan know if there is information you want him to know about as we look at groupings for next year's 4th and 5th Grade classes.
I cannot always promise everything but we most certainly try our best at finding the best fit and situation for all students.
Any questions, please let Mr. Geoghegan know.
Thank you,
Mr. G
