Loving Every Minute of Learning

Dodson’s Dish

Valentine’s Day is coming soon. Classroom parties times are below. Our PTA Room Coordinator has planned an 80s dance/game party in the cafeteria. Students will be attending the party with their peer pals. You are more than welcomed to attend the party in your 80s gear in the cafeteria. Students will head back to their classroom after the party. During this time they will finish up their day of learning in the classroom with their teacher. All parents will enter and exit the party through the cafeteria. We are requesting that all parents exit through the cafeteria doors after their child’s party. You will not need to check into the raptor system. We will dismiss students at the normal dismissal time, through their normal dismissal procedures.

I hope to see you tonight at the PTA Meeting. Before the Drum Cafe’ I will review the campus report card. You can view the report by clicking on this link.

Human Book??

What is a human book? A human book is someone who shares a personal experience to students, where you tell “your story”. We are looking for some parents who have an interesting story to tell. Here are some examples of possible Human Books: someone who grew up in various countries around the world, someone who has been on one of a kind trips, Interesting jobs, someone who has a disease or disability, Local farmers, Government officials, Refugees, someone who runs a charity/food bank in Frisco, Military/Veterans, Native American Tribes, a person or athlete that has physical disabilities. The purpose of Human Books is to expose students to other people’s experiences and to teach them the importance of being different. If you are interested in being a “Human Book” in the Isbell Library please email Mrs. Beathard (
