Happy Friday Flash!

National Arab American Heritage Month

As we approach the end of National Arab American Heritage Month, we would like to recognize and celebrate the many contributions of Arab Americans in our society and community. As shared in the recent presidential proclamation on Arab American Heritage Month, "Ours is a Nation shaped by the immigrant’s heart, and generations of brave and hopeful people from across all countries, including from the Arab world, have woven their unique heritages, customs, and talents into the tapestry of America. Today, the achievements of Arab Americans are reflected in the arts and sciences; in businesses and faith communities; in classrooms and hospitals; and in police stations, firehouses, and every branch of the military."

Bienvenue en France, Les Collégiens !

After three long years of disrupted trips to France, our Middle Schoolers have made it to Paris! Shortly after arriving, they visited the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower before settling in with their host families in Lisses, France. After their initial visit to Paris, students will be heading to Vichy where they will spend their time living and learning in France with our amazing team of educators and fantastic host families.

CM2 is Headed to Aramits and Jaca!

Be sure to wish bon voyage and buen viaje to our CM2 students who will be traveling to Aramits, France for our relaunched annual CM2 Trip to France! This year, for the first time ever, students will be taking a travel extension to Jaca, Spain where they will visit with students at the Escolapios school. We look forward to hearing all the fun stories after their return!

This is the time of year when we see increased instances of norovirus (gastroenteritis) in schools. This is a very contagious illness that can spread quickly in a community. It is important that any children exhibiting any of the typical symptoms of norovirus not come to school for at least 48 hours until symptoms have passed. For more details about this illness, please visit the CDC's page about Norovirus.
