"This Is A Test" Day

Affton School District will be holding “THIS IS A TEST" Day this Thursday, 09/10/20 @ 9:10 a.m. The purpose of this day is to test all of the communication channels the district uses to alert families of important information such as safety incidents, emergency dismissals, etc.

On THIS IS A TEST DAY, we will send a TEST message to the contact information we have on file for staff and parents, including: text, email, phone, mobile app. This will allow these individuals to ensure they are receiving district and school information through their desired platforms. We will also post the TEST message to our website and social media accounts.

Our goal is to ensure we are providing accurate, effective communication to you in a timely manner. We hope this process will allow us to better reach our stakeholders at the times when it matters the most! #afftonstrong

Week 1: What We Heard From You

Thanks to all those who have shared their feedback each week! Your input is helping highlight what's going well, as well as adjustments that need to be made.

We're still analyzing what was just submitted for Week 2 this past weekend, but here's an overview of what we heard from you for Week 1:

Grab & Go Meals

GOOD NEWS! We are happy to share that the USDA has extended the Summer Feeding Program for all children up to 18 years of age through December 31, 2020. This means all Affton School District students can receive meals at no cost -- and with no PIN number needed!

Grab & Go is from 11:30 am-12:30 pm on Monday and Wednesday each week. Breakfast and lunch for 2 days will be provided on Mondays and 3 days will be provided on Wednesdays at all pickup locations. All meals provided free of charge.
