THE RHE RATTLER
January 17, 2021
A Note from Mrs. Frankhouser
We are clicking right along!
We weathered the transition back to school smoothly. We adjusted a bit once we got everyone here in the building. We thought we would put 4 students to a table in the cafeteria, and ultimately decided to do anything we can not to have them that close together. We have tried to maintain 3 students per table at lunch where possible by putting tables on the stage in the cafeteria and by getting six more cafeteria tables from another LTISD elementary school. That seems to be working well.
As you know, we learned on Friday afternoon that we had two positive individuals on campus on January 12th. Parents of children who were identified as close contact were called on Friday afternoon and all of the parents of children in the affected classrooms have been notified. Please see the Covid protocols linked at the bottom of the newsletter for clarification of processes. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
THANK YOU to all who continue to be vigilant about monitoring yourselves and your children for Covid symptoms and for keeping us in that loop. Keeping students who have been in close contact with Covid positives at home is key to our success at school. Healthy kids and healthy staff make for healthy learning for all, and that's what we are about!
We are still interviewing for a kindergarten teacher. We have a new Special Education teacher set to join us on January 20th, and we welcomed a new cafeteria monitor this week!
Don't forget that students do not have school on Monday January 18th or Tuesday January 19th.
I hope your family enjoyed the Central Texas snow as much as mine did!

Car Rider Line Reminders
Drop off:
- Please have your child be prepared to hop out of the car as soon as you roll up to the drop of area. That means seatbelt off, mask up, backpack, jacket, lunch, water bottle ready.
- Students that are able to open their own door should do so once the car has stopped safely at the drop off area. You don't need to wait for the adult that may be helping a younger child.
- Thank you for utilizing the cross walk if you are parking and walking children across.
Pick up:
- Make sure all changes are made through SMART TAG.
- Please pull forward or pull into a parking space to buckle a child that needs help buckling. It really helps us keep the car rider line moving!
