Upcoming Events
Boosterthon - Jaguar Jog: Tuesday, October 11
This is our PTOs Fall Fundraiser. The Jaguar Jog is the culmination of our fundraising week. The days leading up to the Jaguar Jog are filled with motivational, character-building videos and speeches provided by our Boosterthon Reps. In response to all the pledges that come in for Johnsville Elementary, our students and staff run/walk for approximately an hour on October 11. For families that register at mybooster.com prior to October 4, your child's name will be in the drawing for a Chipotle or Big Dipper GC.
Fall Book Fair: October 11 and 13
In collaboration with our Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences, our Book Fair offers students an opportunity to purchase the latest and greatest age-appropriate books like Dogman, Captain Underpants, Pete the Cat and many, many more! We hope you stop by our Jaguar Media Center!
Parent-Teacher Conferences: October 11, 13, and 18
The work of building our future is all about team: Parents, Teachers, and Students working together! We've had a great start to our school year. Our teachers look forward to meeting with you to learn about the progress your child is making along with the things we can do to help them be even better students and people.
Unity Day 2022: Wednesday, October 19 - Wear ORANGE
Every year on the third or fourth Wednesday in October, a very special event comes around — the Day of Unity, or Unity Day, as it is commonly called, which is celebrated on October 19 this year. This is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month, also celebrated in October. Multiple anti-bullying campaigns — of which Unity Day is one of them, are organized during this period. The key message of this month, and this day, is to unite for kindness, courage, and inclusion, to prevent students from being bullied. If you ever feel your child is being bullied, please connect with us or report it on our district website: https://www.ahschools.us/domain/12052. We are here to help prevent and stop bullying in our schools.
MEA Teacher Conferences: October 20-21 (No School for K-12 Students)
These are state level conferences held in St. Paul. These are non-school days for all K-12 students of Anoka-Hennepin.
K-2 Costume Parade: Monday, October 31
Our K-2 students are invited to participate in our costume parade on Monday, October 31. Costumes must be "G" rated in nature. No costume weapons are allowed - leave them at home. There will be more information coming from your child's homeroom teacher as we get closer to the date.
A Message From Mr. Johnson
Welcome to Johnsville Elementary! My name is Scott Johnson. I am the principal at Johnsville Elementary. At Johnsville Elementary, we want your child(ren) to love learning and then to go out and live that learning. We hope we can provide your child(ren) with many opportunities that allow them to think creatively, act courageously, ask questions, and have fun in the process. We know that learning is so often dependent on adults that care and make connections/relationships that allow children to feel safe. As a Johnsville staff, we are here to do just that!
We want your child(ren) to feel like they belong here at Johnsville Elementary. When your child(ren) walks through our doors we want them feeling so empowered that they believe and can say, "This is MY school and I belong!" If there are things we can do to support that belief, do not hesitate to connect with us!

Minnesota Fall Weather
Whether we're ready or not, Minnesota cold weather is right around the corner.
Here at Johnsville we believe in the importance of play and fresh air, even when it's cold out. Students will go outside as long as the temp is above 0 and the windchill is above -10. Therefore, we need students to come prepared for all the elements. Please make sure your student comes to school each day with a winter jacket, hat, mittens/gloves, snow pants and boots.
We have a very limited amount of spare coats/snow pants/boots at school for students who many forget. If you need assistance in obtaining winter gear for your student, please consider this local resource. Supplies may be limited, so it's best to call ahead to see if supplies are available in your desired sizes:
