Weekly update for the Meadows Elementary School community
Week 7 of Distance Learning
We have only two more weeks of Distance Learning. The last day of instruction takes place on June 4th. The following week, starting on June 8th, we will begin passing out personal belongings to students and collecting borrowed laptops, charging cords, hotspots, library books and textbooks.
Please join us for "Coffee with the Principal" this Tuesday, 5/26 at 9:30am and/ or 6:00pm to ask any questions you may have. We will discuss the close of our school year.
Orchestra and band students will return their borrowed instruments to Wiley Canyon Elementary School on June 9th anytime from 12pm-3pm.
Thank you to everyone who filled out our School Effectiveness Survey. I do apologize if you tried the link and it did not work. You may need to clear your cache to access. We would love your feedback. I am including it here again.

6th Grade Promotion and Celebration
All of our 6th grade families have received information outlining the 6th grade promotion and celebration.
As a school, we are looking forward to celebrating our students' last year in elementary school over the next few weeks. As you know, we are having to alter our usual plans for the Promotion and End-of-Year celebrations.
For our 6th graders, the 6th grade teachers have organized a few projects including but not limited to a promotion video. The 6th graders have fundraised money through Popcornopolis and will be donating these funds to either a charitable children's organization or a legacy gift for Meadows Elementary School. These funds are usually put towards the cost of the promotion ceremony and other celebratory activities.
And, lastly, on Monday, 6/8, there will be a 6th Grade Drive-Through Celebration where the the front of the school will be decorated in honor of our students. They will be able to pick up theirs and any siblings personal belongings, student projects, and promotional materials (and will return borrowed laptops, charging cords, hotspots, textbooks and school library books). Our students will be greeted with celebratory messages.
We look forward to honoring our students and celebrating this special time in their lives with them.

Dear Meadows Families,
We hope that each of you are remaining safe and healthy during these challenging times. Meadows Foundation would like to remind you that, as always, funds raised through APEX and Popcornopolis fund our upcoming school year, 2020-2021. Our practice of raising funds for the upcoming school year allows us and our administration to budget for our school's ongoing needs. We have a meeting this week to discuss the direction of funds for next year with Dr. Fine. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Qiana Tarlow at email@example.com
