November Math News

3rd Grade

What are we learning this month?

In November, we begin to dig into fractions as well as using addition and subtraction to read and create graphs. We also begin to deal with metric measurement this month. See below for all the standards and links to videos that demonstrate each standard.

  • 3.NF.A.2 - Use number lines to represent and compare fractions
  • 3.NF.A.3 - Generate and understand equivalent fractions
  • 3.MD.A.1 - Tell time to the nearest minute. Solve problems involving elapsed time.
  • 3.MD.B.4 - Generate measurement data by using a ruler - measuring to the nearest fourth inch
