If you know of any families interested in Civano Community School for their child, please share our Lottery Information Meeting with them!

Current Families: If you wish for your child(ren) to remain at Civano, you do NOT need to attend a Lottery Information meeting. You will receive a form to share your intent for next year after the holiday break. If you are enrolling a new student to Civano (i.e. an incoming Kindergartener or another grade), please email Lydia starting Nov. 17 and you will be sent a link to the Civano Interest Form.

Interested Families: Any families not currently enrolled at Civano are considered new-to-Civano and they must attend one of the information meetings in order to receive the link to the Civano Interest Form.

COVID19 :: Hybrid Learning :: Brick to Click Learning

We will be accepting transitions to Hybrid Learning on the following dates:

Request Deadline: Return Date:

Thursday, Nov. 19: Monday, Nov. 30

Thursday, Dec. 10: Monday, Jan 4

When you believe you are ready to transition back to in-person learning, please start by completing the request HERE. We will review the requests and make preparations for your child to return at the time you have indicated.

If your family situation has changed or you have concerns about community spread, you can choose to have your student transition from Hybrid Instruction to Brick to Click Learning. Please call Lydia or Nicole at 879-1702 to discuss this.

Tax Credits

At Civano, we use tax credits to fund our art and music/drama classes. As the year comes to an end, please take advantage of public school tax credits. If you owe taxes to the state of Arizona, your contribution will offset what you owe dollar-for-dollar. If you give more than what you owe, you’ll get the extra back as a tax refund. It’s really an amazing opportunity! While none of us enjoy paying taxes, with tax credits you can know that at least some of your tax dollars go directly to benefit young people in our school!

  • Contribute online or via check in the school office.

  • Giving online? Please select “Greatest Need” at the bottom of the page and when directed to choose a school, select “Civano Community School”.

  • Public school tax credit gifts for the 2020 tax year may be made right up to April 15, 2021.

  • Couples filing jointly may take a credit of up to $400 and individuals up to $200.

Holiday Food Drive

LAST CALL for food or gift card donations for St. Rita's in the Desert! The last day is Thursday, Nov. 19. Please bring your donations to the school office. THANK YOU to all who have helped so far!

Toys for Tots

The Transportation Department has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves to bring this program to our school district and make a difference for children this holiday season.

Donation boxes are located inside the District Transportation office for anyone to stop by and leave a new and unwrapped toy. Donations will be accepted from anyone in our community up through December 20th. School personnel may give their toy donation to any of our drivers as they are dropping off or picking up students at school sites. Drivers will bring the donation back to Transportation and place it in the box for you.

Please see the attached flyer and feel free to download and copy it for your workplace, or to share with anyone who may be interested in participating in this program.

We have an updated/reformatted directory to share with our families! You can find the School Directory HERE. Thank you to our families who shared their contact info to connect with other families. If you would like your name added to the directory, you can still complete the form and it will updated weekly.

Grab and Go Meals

ALL District students are eligible to receive meals with the Grab & Go Meal program. There is not service at Civano, but families can pick up meals at their traditional neighborhood school (i.e. Senita Valley or Rincon Vista Middle School. Please contact Vail Food Service for additional information.

COVID Guidelines

Please keep your child home and away from school and call the office (879-1702) if your child or anyone in the home is experiencing the following:

  • Fever of 100F or higher
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle of body aches
  • Headaches
  • New loss of smell or taste
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Please also have a plan in place to pick up you child in the event he or she begins to display these symptoms at school.
