Impact of the ASsembly Line
The assembly line created mass production and mobility, and established a middle class while reshaping the physical landscape of America. It also accelerated outward expansion into suburbs because highway transportation made traveling easier than in crowed cities and businesses and industries could move outward to cheaper sites. The assembly line resulted in less waste and higher quality of the finished product.
Consumer Culture
A form of capitalism in which the economy is focused on the selling of consumer goods and the spending of consumer money. New mass production techniques made market goods affordable to working class families.
