Battle of the Books Held at Washington Middle School

The Fifth Annual Battle of the Books took place at Washington Middle School on Thursday, April 20. Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for grades 4-6 in which teams are encouraged to read all 12 Missouri Mark Twain award nominees and then participate in the battle to see which team knows the most about the books. WHS Winter Guard Wins State Title at MCCGA Competition

Washington High School’s Pride of Washington Winter Guard competed at the MCCGA (Mid-Continent Color Guard Association) on Saturday, April 1, in Springfield. Washington secured the title of State Champions in Scholastic AA Round 1. This is the 14th overall MCCGA State Title for the Washington High School Color Guard. Click here for the story.

Washington High School senior Devon Deckelman has been named a 2022 MIAAA/NIAAA (Missouri Interscholastic Activities Administrators Association/National Interscholastic Activities Administrators Association) scholarship essay winner from Missouri, one of two recipients from the state who receive a $1,000 scholarship.
