There will be a select variety of small yummy snacks from Fritz bakery (Vegan) and Dark Matter Coffee is sponsoring us, offering an unlimited supply of coffee during this years event.


What is Banned Books Week?


Banned Books Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates the freedom to read, draws attention to banned and challenged books, and highlights persecuted individuals.

During this years Banned Books Week we will be putting out some of the most controversial books from the archives. We will be offering individuals a spot where they can read the books for free and/or also purchase them for a small donation. There will also be a photo booth available to dress up as your favorite banned book!


All proceeds will go towards developing after school literacy programming within Telpochcalli Elementary School in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.
