As always, the first week of school was a full one. I have to say, usually it takes the kids a few days to get back into the routine of school, but they really came in ready to go and hit the ground running. They've been awesome and really set the bar high this past week for the teachers' expectations this year. Finishing the week with a PTO spirit night at the House of Air and getting to see them enjoying being a Bobcat was a great way to end the week. The turnout was fantastic and I'm sure a lot of kids slept well Friday night. If the first week is an indicator of how the year will be, we're in for a lot of fun!

The big news this week is that beginning Monday, our 2nd-5th grade students will begin attending the arts classes they selected for their areas of focus. On Monday evening, our PTO board will hold a meeting in the library at 6:00 PM and on Thursday we kickoff our Big Kahuna Cookie Dough campus fundraiser.
