Google Certified Educator - Level 1

June 14 & 15, 9am-3pm

During this training you will gain a better understanding of how to use the wide-variety of Google tools. There are 3 sections to this training:


  1. Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership
  2. Increase Efficiency and Save Time
  3. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity


If you would like to take the exam to be "officially" Google certified, the cost is $10. We will register for the exam on the first morning.

Breakout EDU

June 16

Session 1 - 10am

Session 2 - 1pm

(please only sign up for one session as the both will contain the same information)


Breakout EDU is a platform for immersive learning games. The games teach teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting by presenting players with a series of challenges. The goal of any Breakout game is to solve the challenges and “breakout” in a set amount of time. Breakout EDU games can be used in any subject area and any grade level.


In this session you will experience a Breakout EDU game. Depending on how long it takes the group to breakout, the session will last an hour to an hour and a half. After the breakout we will have time to debrief, ask questions and make plans to have a Breakout EDU game in your own classroom!

The Innovator's Mindset Book Study



George Couros is a Canadian educator, administrator and speaker who specializes in the areas of innovative leadership, teaching and learning. His book, The Innovator’s Mindset, encourages teachers and administrators to empower their learners to wonder, to explore and to become forward thinking leaders. His book offers practical examples of how educators can foster innovation in themselves and in their students.


The book study will take place online using the app/site Seesaw. Participants will be able to write, draw, photograph, talk or even video their reflections using Seesaw. Participants will be required to self reflect as well as comment on other’s reflections.


The book study will start on June 6 and will conclude July 31. Timeline:


June 6 - June 19 Innovation in Education Chapters 1-3

June 20 - July 3 Laying the Groundwork Chapters 4-7

July 4 - July 17 Unleashing Talent Chapters 8-12

July 18 - July 31 Concluding Thoughts Chapters 13-14
