Brooker Creek Elementary

Home of the Bobcats

Hello Brooker Creek Families,

I am so excited that the first day is right around the corner. Our campus will be buzzing with students on Wednesday, August 11th to kick off our new year. There is a great deal of information in this communication. Please make sure to read the attachments completely so that you are up to date with everything happening at Brooker Creek.

Next week, we have a few events that will bring students and families to our campus. On Monday evening, we will have our Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade Open House night. For this parent night of learning, we are asking that only one parent/guardian joins us per family and that students remain at home during Open House. This is an information rich night that isn't fun for our students. On Tuesday, we will be hosting our Meet the Teacher event. We are asking again that only one parent/ guardian plan to visit school with their child to get set up for a great school year. More information about Meet the Teacher is below.

I look forward to seeing you very soon for the fantastic school year ahead!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall 2021 Guiding Practices and Protocols

Since March 2020, Pinellas County Schools has successfully followed the health and wellness recommendations of our Medical Advisory Group and the Pinellas County Department of Health. The district has modified protocols as conditions and information changed and will continue to seek and follow sound medical advice.

Pinellas County Schools is committed to providing high-quality instruction and enrichment opportunities for all students, while also maintaining wellness protocols for students and staff. The district anticipates that as the community continues to return to pre-pandemic conditions, that the processes below will also guide the school district’s return to pre-pandemic operations. Any updates will be communicated to all stakeholders.

More information can be found on the district website COVID-19 Info / Guiding Practices and Protocols ( or in the document below.

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher is a time for students to visit their classrooms, meet their teacher(s), and drop of any school supplies. We hope this will ease any first day jitters and provide time for students to learn where their new classroom is located. Classrooms will only be open during the times listed so feel free to pop-in anytime during the hour window. We are asking that only one parent comes to campus for this event.

While you are on campus, stop by the cafeteria for more information about

  • PTA & Spirit Wear Information
  • After School Opportunities at School
  • YMCA Before/After Care
  • Cafeteria Accounts
  • Bus Information

First Day of School

We are excited to welcome our families onto our campus for the first day of school drop off. The campus will be busy and it is imperative that our car line isn't block so that families that choose to drop off in the car line are able to do so.

  • Parents will be able to walk their child to the classroom on the first day of school only. Face coverings are recommended. We are asking only one parent to join us on campus if you choose to walk your child in on the first day.

  • Beginning on Thursday, August 12, parents will not be permitted to walk students to class. We will have plenty of staff during the first weeks of school to help students find their classrooms.

  • PLEASE BE SURE YOUR CHILD KNOWS HOW HE/SHE WILL BE GETTING HOME FROM SCHOOL EACH DAY!!! START THIS WAY OF WORK ON DAY #1. If your child is a bus rider, have him/her ride the bus. This prevents confusion later and sets routines in place from the start.
