News and Information
Accelerated Reader: Last day to earn points for prizes is April 26th.
Field Trip May 9-Field trip permission slips and info will be sent home Monday. If you are interested in chaperoning you MUST have an approved volunteer form on file in the office before I can include your name in the drawing to choose chaperones. We are allowed 5 parents per classroom.
Everyone (children and chaperones) will need a sack lunch that day. We eat on the bus on the way home. Here are some guidelines to help us be as neat as possible while eating on a moving bus!
Sack Lunch Guidelines:
For the Children's Museum Trip on May 9th, Please don’t send pizza or nacho lunchables, and please send a drink that can be closed - water/ Gatorade/ juice boxes are fine. No pop please! Thank you!
Winter Coats Needed- please continue to send a winter coat with your child. Morning recess is still quite chilly and we want everyone to be dressed safely for the temperature.
If you’d like to sit with your child at lunch we’d love to have you. Lunch begins at 11:47 a.m. If you wish to eat the school lunch, please call the office to order a tray.

Homework Help and Hints!
"The Dip"
The last couple of weeks we watched a video series from Class Dojo about handling difficult tasks. This has been a struggle around here lately- when things have typically been easy at school and then a difficult task arises, many times students do not know how to deal with the situation. In the video series, "the dip" is when you are asked to do something that you haven't done before, aren't good at, or don't like. They gave strategies for coping with this type of problem. I've seen a few really upset that they don't know answers at different times during this year. We have been talking about WHY they have to do things that they aren't "comfortable" with- because it makes you SMARTER! Also, we've been talking about how you can't always be "perfect" at everything- meaning you can't always get an A+ because you are 8 and you don't know everything, yet!!
