Monday Motivational Moment with Mo!
Roos around Campus!
We love to see the great things our students are doing on campus through the week. Our students are involved in multiple activities through the week and we love to showcase them. Our Roo Band was finally able to practice in their new Band Pad! They got to celebrate with popsicles! Cross Country participated in a meet and we love to see the accomplishments of our runners! The Aquaroos had their first meet this past weekend. Hispanic Heritage Month has started and Mrs. Bojorquez-Baldenegro's classes celebrated and held races down the hallway that our very own Dr. Trevino was able to participate in!

Meet Chris Emerson!
Both of my parents were in the Army so I was born in Germany. I’ve lived in Killeen since I was a year old and am a graduate of KHS. After high school I completed the Temple Fire Academy and EMT school. Shortly after I enlisted in the Army as a medic. During my 14 year career I have been stationed several places across the country and deployed overseas numerous times. Towards the end of my time in the Army was when I realized my passion for teaching and began pursuing a career in education. I graduated from American Military University with a degree in Sports and Health Science and then completed an alternative teacher certification program called iTeach Texas. So far, my teaching career has seen me as an English inclusion teacher, SPED case manager, and girls softball coach. I thoroughly enjoy each aspect of my job but hope to become a self-contained English teacher eventually. I have a nine year old son John and a seven year old daughter Bailee. I love spending time with them and coaching their various sports that each play. I also have a nine year old nephew Josiah and six year old niece Zoie that live me so it is a full house of non-stop chaos. I love sports and my favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers.

Positive Referrals
At Killeen High School, we have a set of values that represent our campus. These values are School Pride, Relationships, Collaboration, Success, and Integrity. When we see our students embodying our values and completing positive, thoughtful acts around campus we like to celebrate them with our "Positive Referrals". In this section, you will see the students who earned Positive Referrals each week! Roo Pride is Justified!
