NCHSE Spring 2023 Newsletter

The National Consortium for Health Science Education, a non-profit education organization, represents state education agency leaders responsible for middle school, secondary, and postsecondary career technical education (CTE) health science programs. Established in 1991, NCHSE supports visionary leadership, promotes best practices, and speaks with one voice to promote career success for the next generation of health professionals. Through partnerships with publishers and resource providers, professional associations, certification providers and the Health Science Educators Association (HSEA), NCHSE is positioned as the national authority for health science education.
The 2023 National Consortium for Health Science Education Annual Meeting was a successful sharing and networking opportunity for those able to attend in-person or virtually in Fort Worth, Texas, January 25-26. Accomplishments of the organization were highlighted in the 2023 NCHSE Annual Report.

Classroom Behavior Management-HSEA Webinar

April 19, 2023 4:30PM (ET)

Teachers go through rigorous training to teach their subject. They may spend countless dollars and hours preparing themselves for their daily presentations. They walk out confident that their training and preparation has adequately prepared them for what is to come. Academically they are ready. Unfortunately, all this training and preparation can be less effective if it does not address a major barrier that stands to block the effectiveness of the teacher. That barrier is DISCIPLINE. The lack of classroom discipline negatively affects the learning environment. There are specific steps to be taken. When followed, these have yielded a more productive learning environment. These will have a positive effect both in and out of the classroom.
