This month's Counselor Lesson topic...Empathy

I'm back in the classrooms this month with a focus on empathy and treating others how THEY want to be treated.

If you remember from December, I will need to reschedule some of your lesson times as they are now conflicting with my 2:00 and 2:30 small groups. I'll email you if I need to find a rescheduled time. Thanks for always being so flexible!

The quote above is the last line given by Rita Pierson in the video below. Some of you may have seen this TED Talks episode before, as I know I've seen it either at one of our faculty meetings in the past, or at a PD or training. I rewatched it today, connecting to Elizabeth's story she shared at Thursday morning's meeting, and thinking about relationships with kids and the challenges we face with some of our students. It's a little lengthy, 7.46 min., but so motivating and makes you laugh, too. Take a minute to watch it!
