Sofitel Melbourne: “Hard to Fault”I only stayed one night but was treated like I was staying for a month. My room overlooked Port Phillip Bay and was on the 47th floor. This was probably the best view from a hotel room i have had. The room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. The location is superb. It is hard to fault the sofitel chain

Crown Promenade Melbourne: “Beautiful hotel”This hotel has it all. Very surprised to see negative comments for this hotel. Great location 200 yards from the Yarra river and the ever popular Southbank and easy walking distance to anything in Melbourne. Excellent gym and infinity pool, great breakfast buffet with a broad mix of asian, european and north american breakfast fare, nice bar and excellent service across the board. Lovely view of downtown if you ask for a room higher up and facing the Yarra. Beds are very comfortable, good size bathroom and a nice chaise lounge by the window! Would stay here any and every time I am in Melbourne. Hope that will be sooner than I expect!

Sosta Cucina: “Excellent Italian”Very fine food presented well with excellent service. Good wine list with great range of wines and price levels. 5 of us enjoyed the tuna and pappardelle starters and the goat and rabbit mains A great night out.
