Supply-Drop Off Sign-Up
To help control the number of families coming in, we are directing parents to sign up for a time slot to come in on that day. Click the link below to find an available time to sign up for. Please sign up for a slot for EACH CHILD.
**** If you have a student at the middle school, make sure you click on the middle school sign-up (included below).
Masking Mandate
The mandate requires students, teachers and visitors of schools (regardless of vaccination status) to wear a mask while indoors. In addition to the school day the Governor advised masks would be required for indoor sports and activities. Outdoor sports and activities were not included in the mandate and remain at a district’s discretion which should take into account transmission levels in the respective community.
Our staff will work to provide outdoor mask breaks for students. Lunch and recess will be natural breaks. Grade level teachers will look for other opportunities during instruction to get kids outside for optional mask breaks.
Kindergarten Parent Night
Please join us on Monday, August 16th at the following times:
5:00- Mrs. Aunet, Mrs. Frank, Mrs. Fritsch
6:30- Mrs. Polenzani, Mrs. Jazo, Mrs. Anderson
**Due to social distancing, one adult is asked to come to Parent Night. Masks are required to attend.
**We will have an option for parents to Zoom in to watch Parent Night virtually. The zoom link will be sent to parents prior to the 16th.
Lunch Program
- Hot Lunch will once again be FREE for all students this school year in the state of Illinois
- To alleviate students who need milk only, we will be giving students a fruit and vegetable with their milk. By doing this, it becomes a free!
- We will start out the year with only one entree option. We will then build to having options for students.
- Fruit and veggies will again be offered but will be pre-packaged (replacing students having to scoop them onto their trays).
As stated previously, we are planning to use two locations to house lunches this year: Cafeteria and the East Gym. Desks will be used to help distance students by 6ft so they can take their masks off during lunch. Because desks will be used by multiple students, students with allergies will be placed at desks used only by specific students.
Temporary Lunch Seating
Unfortunately, the shipment of the new desks is delayed and will not arrive until after school begins. Now what?
We will need to be creative with our seating for the first few weeks until the desks arrive. Therefore the first week of school will be more of a picnic-style lunch. Students will receive a bag lunch as their hot lunch option. They will then proceed to an assigned seat that will have a chair at their spot. There will be another chair in front of them to place their lunch items.
We know this is not ideal, but this is only temporary until the desk arrives. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.
Cafeteria Help
If you are available and willing to help, please sign-up below. We will have two-time slots a day: 10:40-11:40, and 11:40-12:40. We still have some available open times!!!!
