Week 31
Week 31 Notes
This week, we're continuing to move right along with virtual learning. Again, I'm so proud of the work you and your children are doing to continue learning during the shutdown. The staff at RMS is very complimentary of the job you are doing as we continue to refine our practices and approach to virtual learning.
Question of the Week
This week, I encourage you to keep a screen time log. I know we are all feeling the affects of screen time now that we've been forced online for longer periods of time. I also encourage you to ask you child "How do you feel about the additional screen time?" and "What is something that we can do together that doesn't involve screen time?" Scheduling time with your child away from tech and screen time is so important at this time.
I hope you all are doing well!
Thanks,
Jeff Carron

Boby Frings Scholarship
Boby Frings was a dedicated, loyal, caring teacher at Richfield School for nearly 20 years. Boby’s love of teaching and learning was the heartbeat of her educational philosophy. She held herself to high standards in the classroom and expected her students to do the same-- always guiding them to their fullest potential as curious learners and good humans.
Boby’s love of travel found its way into the lessons she planned for her English classes. Creativity and adventure were always part of her plans for motivating students. As a colleague, she was a supportive encourager and a staunch friend. She loved education and lived it every day, constantly challenging herself and others in a quest to keep learning. Her keen sense of humor delighted those in her presence.
The family of Boby Frings has honored her legacy and memory as a teacher through the establishment of the Boby Frings Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is awarded annually to an 8th grade graduate of the Holy Hill Area School District. The recipient of the $1,500 Boby Frings Memorial Scholarship will be announced at the 8th Grade Commencement ceremony. (Receipt of actual scholarship dollars are sent directly to the college or institution bursar in the name of the recipient upon completion of high school.)
Letters of recommendation can be uploaded in the survey or emailed to Mrs. Kastner at kastner@hhasd.org.
Completed applications are due no later than Friday, May 8, 2020.

We are excited to resume our Curbside Pickup service that will allow the library another way to offer information and content to the public.”
The library staff have been busy working to ensure that Curbside Pickup is as safe for staff and patrons as possible. “We really miss seeing all of our patrons everyday and cannot wait to get back to normal programs and activities.” said Jackie Molitor, Youth Services Librarian. “We are working hard to continue to provide fun and engaging programs for youth while our building is closed through video storytimes and other fun activities that families can enjoy together at home.”
