Tech Vikes are Going to State!
What a day for robotics!
The Tech Vikes team competed in First Robotics Competition (FRC) in Kentwood on November 4th & 5th and did fantastic job. The robot worked well all day and we ended with an invitation to State.
The team ended qualification matches in 8th place and was selected as the first pick by the number 4 alliance. We defeated the number 1 alliance and advanced on to finals where we fell to the number 2 alliance. This means we earned a finalist alliance (2nd place) award at Saturday's competition.
We were also awarded the Motivate award.
We have two new trophies to add to the trophy case!
Upcoming Events
Our second competition will be hosted at Coloma High School on Dec 10 starting at 10:00 AM.
State competition will be held at Calvin University and takes place Dec 16-17.
Students will be excused from the normal school day.

Paraprofessional Hopkins Public Schools
Team 2054 from Hopkins, MI, USA competes globally in the FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) each year. Started in 2007, the team has grown rapidly and has added two FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams. Our purpose is to grow, improve and inspire students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math!
It's not about the robots.
We're a robotics team that designs, builds and competes in a robotics competition, but it's not about robotics.
The focus of Tech Vikes Team 2054 and FIRST is to inspire students to learn about science and technology. In doing so, we also create a community of like minded people that provide for our community and foster teamwork among the students.
