DigestZen & Wild Orange
A friend of mine recently found success with DigestZen and Wild Orange in managing cyclic vomiting syndrome. DigestZen & Wild Orange is applied on her husband's stomach whenever he feels an episode coming on, and reapplied about every 30 minutes. So far he's been able to prevent an episode from happening once he initially felt the early warning signs. "This is a huge success for us because once an episode is full-strength, he is out of commission completely for the next 1-2 days."
Frankincense
For several months, another friend of mine has been rubbing Frankincense on the back of her son's neck each day in order to help him better manage his moods. She recently explained her son no longer experiences episodes of rage.
My husband Steve uses Frankincense to manage inflammation, especially after playing "old guy soccer" on Wednesday nights. He just rubs it on wherever he is experiencing the pain of inflammation for pretty immediate results.
Peppermint & Lavender
Another friend who suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia had been taking 3 migraine caplets up to 3 times a day for many, many years.
She recently shared that she is now using doTERRA’s lavender and peppermint essential oils on the back of her neck before getting out of bed. Not only has the lavender and peppermint replaced her migraine capsules successfully, she reports they are doing a better job!
Managing seasonal allergies with essential oils

Reflections
April often conjures images of tax preparation for me, and not always good ones. One of my least favorite things to do is tracking my expenses. I’ve often looked at my pile of receipts and thought, “tomorrow.” My husband Steve is a CPA, and has spent the last several years working with me, and our wonderful dōTERRA customer service representatives, to develop an easy way to organize my dōTERRA expense and income information. I’m excited to have an easy-to-use system in place for 2014 that helps me to manage the financial end of my business each week so that we’ll experience smooth sailing next tax season.
I’ve taken time this month to think about the other routine things we do that help us prevent dealing with a time crunch or crisis. One that keeps coming to mind involves the dōTERRA Wellness Lifestyle pyramid, pictured below. Our family does a great job of eating right, getting adequate exercise, and I’m really happy about the amount of quality sleep we get daily. We’ve been working on reducing toxic load in our home by incorporating essential oils into our homemade cleaning products, and almost all of our personal care products. It was eye-opening for me this month to understand more deeply the potential dangers of plastics in the kitchen, as I prepared to teach a Women & Estrogen class. For the last two weeks I’ve walked by a colossal pile of plastic containers, now in the garage, that we’ve replaced with glass containers. As my friend Jillian says, “Know better, do better.”
My hope for you this month is that you find new ways to improve your wellness lifestyle. Taking care of you is the best way to help others.
Natalie Mauer
Natalie's 4-year career sharing the doTERRA story fulfills her need to help and empower others to address their health concerns at home in a safe, natural, and effective way.
Natalie has pursued complimentary healthcare options since becoming a mom 13 years ago. Essential oils have empowered her as a mom, and have essentially eliminated all but well-care visits for their family for nearly 4 years now. In fact, even though he was enrolled in childcare full time for 4 years, her 5-year old son Eric has never been on a prescription medication (It's true, not even 1 antibiotic!)
Natalie believes in the power of intention. She recently left a 26+ year career in financial services after writing her story to include what she wants in her life. Her new story includes engaged time with her children and husband Steve, as well as intentional time exercising, meditating, and a focus on personal development and practicing gratitude.
